Moonlit Chapters had been sitting in the back of my mind for some time. I honestly never thought it would amount to anything, and so I left the thought alone. No need to pick at it, if im not going to do anything about it right? Well, turns out, all it took was covid (hiss!) and becoming a temporary carer for my son for me to finally pick. Through blood sweat and plenty of tears, i finally created something that im so so proud of!
I really wanted MCB to be an extension of myself. After all it is my brain child! So you'll find bits of me sprinkled throughout the shop and on socials. Think of me as your fun wine friend. The one who is always up for coming around and getting drunk while we talk about our latest book boyfriend. So if you're looking for a bookseller who is equal parts goofy, inappropriate and socially awkward, i'm your gal!
If you live in the South west of England like i do, you'll know that nothing happens here (unless your a farmer!). Everything to do with books happens up country. Book fairs, conventions, author signings. It all happens in the big cities. We're very much forgetten. We'll, i want to change that. I want to bring us all together so we can all nerd out about our favourite books, or we can just sit in silence while we read... im not fussy. Either way, the south west needs bookish goings ons and so that's what im goI'm goingng to do !
